Givenchy III is back, a few years after the E.U. proscribed the use of oak moss and the company was unable to produce the scent. I have worn Givenchy Trois almost exclusively since 1975. Though it is now back in production somewhere, the brilliant cologne/eau de toilette/parfum is out-of-stock at most vendors right now. This perfume is worn by some men, as well, most notably Khan the famous sitar player--so I was told by the Perfume Garden of Princeton's owner a few years ago.
Givenchy III is both refreshing and mysterious; it is at once woodsy and citrus-like. One website's description is "Givenchy III Perfume by Givenchy, launched by the design house of Givenchy in 1970, it is classified as a refreshing, woody, mossy fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of peach, bergamot, gardenia, jasmine, carnation, lily of the valley, amber, and patchouli." They omitted the oak moss component. UPDATE: As of April 22nd, I still cannot locate the scent on the internet. Luckily, I still have a few precious drops in eau de toilette and perfume bottles with the classic gold caps.~~M-J
